Cricket Betting at zbuzz — T20 to Test, BPL to World Cup
zbuzz brings cricket betting in all formats for cricket fans in Bangladesh — place bets across markets from Match Winner to Top Batsman. Take advantage of in-play betting as live odds shift in real time.
The three cricket formats and how betting differs
T20, ODI and Test — each format plays differently, so the betting markets work with different strategies too.
T20 — fast-paced decision making
Only 20 oversResults change quickly in T20 matches. A big six or a falling wicket brings an immediate shift in odds. BPL and IPL are played in this format, making it the most familiar to Bangladeshi fans. Live betting on T20 matches at zbuzz is particularly popular.
ODI — 50-over strategy
50 overs per sideRun rate and partnerships play a key role in one-day internationals. ICC World Cups and bilateral series are played in the ODI format. Total Runs Over/Under markets are quite active in this format.
Test — a test of patience
Five-day matchTest cricket has the most varied betting markets. A draw is a valid result, so three-outcome markets are available. Bangladesh Tigers' Test matches receive special attention at zbuzz.
BPL, IPL and international matches
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is the biggest stage in domestic cricket. Every season's contest between teams is fully covered in live markets at zbuzz. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a larger event — high-quality cricket with a wide range of markets.
Every Bangladesh Tigers match in the T20 World Cup and ICC tournaments is featured prominently at zbuzz. Odds for international matches are set based on each team's strengths and weaknesses, and markets update after every over in live betting.
zbuzz is equally active in football and other sports. However, cricket betting naturally sees higher demand among Bangladeshi users. Football offers Match Winner, Goalscorer and Handicap markets — but football does not have the over-by-over live markets that cricket does.
Popular betting markets — how each one works
zbuzz offers several types of cricket betting markets. Each has its own structure — knowing them gives you a clear picture before you place a bet.
Match Winner
Pick which team will win the match. Two options in T20 and ODI (Team A or Team B), three options in Test (Team A wins / Team B wins / Draw). The most familiar and straightforward market.
Toss Winner
Bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. A purely 50-50 market — odds for both teams are equal or very close. Results come quickly.
Top Batsman
Which batsman will score the most runs in the match. Odds depend on team form and pitch conditions. Regular openers and mid-order batters are often in contention.
Total Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether the total runs in an innings or match will be above or below a set line. Example: will Team A's total runs exceed 160 or not. Pitch and weather have a strong influence here.
Top Wicket Taker
Which bowler will take the most wickets. Spinners hold an advantage on spin-friendly pitches. In T20, death-over bowlers also carry weight in this market.
Multiple bets combined
Place several markets or matches on a single bet slip. If all selections are correct, returns multiply — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost. The structure of multi bets is explained in detail in the odds section below.
Betting on other sports
Alongside cricket, zbuzz also offers football betting. Football markets include Match Winner, Goalscorer, Handicap and Corner Count. The key difference is that in cricket, every ball or over creates a new betting point, which does not happen in the same way in football. You can find markets for both sports on the same platform at zbuzz Bet.
Kabaddi, tennis and basketball betting markets are also available during their respective seasons. However, cricket and football see the most activity among users in Bangladesh.
How to read odds — three formats
Odds in betting are expressed in three different ways. zbuzz generally uses decimal, but it helps to understand all three.
| Odds Format | Team A Odds | Team B Odds | Explanation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.80 | Multiply by your stake to get the total return — the simplest calculation. |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 4/5 | The British method — shows profit as a fractional ratio. |
| American | +150 | –125 | A positive number shows profit on a ৳100 bet; a negative number shows how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit. |
Example 1 — betting on the underdog
Say Team A's odds are 2.50 decimal, 3/2 fractional, +150 American. A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,500 if Team A wins — that is ৳1,500 profit plus your original ৳1,000 back. If Team A loses, the full ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — betting on the favourite
Team B is the favourite, odds 1.80 decimal, 4/5 fractional, –125 American (meaning you need to stake 125 to make 100 profit). A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,800 if Team B wins — ৳800 profit. In American format, a minus sign means that team is the favourite.
How odds multiply in a multi bet
Three selections — decimal odds 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90 — combined in a multi bet give total odds of 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (approximately). A ৳100 stake with all three selections correct returns ৳581. But if even one selection is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Live In-Play Betting — bet while the match is on
You can place bets after the match has started — that is in-play betting. Odds change with every over and every wicket.
Example: Team A's odds were 2.10 at the start. But after 10 overs they are 60 for 3 — Team A's odds have moved out to 3.40 and Team B's have come in to 1.45. Odds keep moving like this as the situation changes.
What happens when a wicket falls
When a key batsman is dismissed, the batting team's odds lengthen and the fielding team's shorten. This happens very fast in T20, especially in the last 5 overs. These moments matter in in-play markets.
Powerplay and death overs
If the batting team scores heavily in the first 6-over powerplay, their advantage grows. In the death overs (16–20), big hits and big wickets can both happen at any moment, so odds move very rapidly.
Live markets in ODI and Test
In ODI, markets refresh after every 10 overs. In Test, detailed markets open at the end of each day based on pitch behaviour and team positions. The draw market also stays active in-play during a Test.
A few practical points before you start betting
Betting is entertainment — not a guaranteed way to make money. Keeping these points in mind helps you have a clear experience.
Set a budget in advance
Only bet what you can afford to lose. Treat betting as a form of entertainment, not a source of income.
Understand the market before you bet
Before trying a new market, understand how the result is determined. Knowing how odds work makes it clear how much risk is involved in any bet.
Be patient with live betting
Odds in in-play markets shift very quickly. Rather than rushing to place a bet, watch how the situation develops. Pay attention to how odds move after each wicket or boundary.
Be aware of the risks in multi bets
Multi bets offer higher returns but come with higher risk. If even one of your selections is wrong, the whole bet is lost. Start with small stakes and fewer selections when trying multi bets.
